My Daddy is in Nebraska right now and I really miss him. So I decided to write a poem for him:

DADDY
Daddy, Daddy, Daddy
Oh how much I love you.
I love it when you are always by my side
Especially when we go on a bike ride.
I love it when you (sometimes) take me to school
I love it when you watch me swim at the pool.
I love it when we play our silly games 
Even though mommy thinks they are quite lame.
Oh Daddy, Daddy, Daddy
I met you when I didn't even know how to poo
But there is nothing better than spending time with you.


Daddy, I miss you and I hope you come home soon!

REMEMBERING 911

This post is dedicated to the heroes and the people whose lives were lost on 911.  Even though I wasn't born when this tragic event happened 10 years ago, I will always remember the pictures and images that I saw on the news today.  
Thank you to all the men and women who are fighting for our freedom everyday.

Happy First Day of School!

Hi everyone! I hope you had a good first day of school. I know I did! My new teacher (Mr. Sherbinko) is super nice and super tall.  He is 6' 6"! Wow, that is really tall! And as a bonus, he is funny too!

Five kids who were in my second grade class last year are in my class this year.  They are Patrick, Eric, Sam,Varsha,Andrew,Jessica and Colleen.  Colleen has been in my class since first grade.  

We got to pick out our own seats! Awesome! There are 4 groups of desks. Three groups have six desks each. One group has eight desks in it. Colleen wanted me to sit next to her. So did Patrick and Eric. I decided to sit next to Colleen because I didn't want to sit at a table with ALL boys, even though Patrick and Eric are my good friends. 

I am looking forward to a very exciting school year !!!

Happy Labor Day everybody, and Happy First Day of School to all my friends who will be starting school tomorrow!

Poor Little Birdie :(

On Friday, my dad and I went to the creek to catch minnows. On the way there we saw a little birdie. We got super close to it but it didn't fly away like most birds do! We tried to feed it bread (also bait for the minnows) but the bird wouldn't eat the bread. Daddy and I thought the poor birdie was injured. Then the bird stuck its beak in its feathers and fell asleep. We left it alone after that to go catch minnows. 


We caught about 30 minnows, but we let them go afterwards. On the way home we found the little birdie dead :( .
