On Friday, my dad and I went to the creek to catch minnows. On the way there we saw a little birdie. We got super close to it but it didn't fly away like most birds do! We tried to feed it bread (also bait for the minnows) but the bird wouldn't eat the bread. Daddy and I thought the poor birdie was injured. Then the bird stuck its beak in its feathers and fell asleep. We left it alone after that to go catch minnows.
We caught about 30 minnows, but we let them go afterwards. On the way home we found the little birdie dead :( .
