Spectacular Sunday
This Sunday, I did a kiddie triathlon. It was a lot of fun! A triathlon is when you swim, bike, and run all in one race. We had to swim 4 laps, bike a mile, and run half a mile. At the end when they announced the winners, I was so sad when they announced 3rd place, then 2nd place for the 9-10 year old girls and I wasn't one of them, because I was pretty sure that I didn't get first. But then the announcer said, "And 1st prize goes to.......... CC (she didn't actually say CC, she said my real name) !" I was so excited! My prize was a GIANT yellow frisbee and a really cool bright red pedometer! A reporter even interviewed me and took my picture for the paper! I can't wait to do this again next year!

Congratulations! I am not surprised at all that you got first place. You are the most dedicated kid I know especially when you have set yourself a goal. It is wonderful too you are humble about your own talents.
