Over the weekend, Mommy and Daddy took me to the Blue Mountain Ski Lodge because I did so well on Friday night's meet! I finally made districts in my 50 yd Backstroke! I now qualify for 4 individual events in districts. Wish me luck!
The mountains were so cool! They actually looked blue! Mommy and I did skiing, and Daddy did snowboarding. I didn't like skiing in the beginning because when we were taking lessons, I was all the way at Station 3, and I crashed. I don't mind crashing, I do that all the time! But a Blue mountain staff saw me crash this particular time, he yelled at me very scarily and sent me back to the long line of Station 2, to relearn all the things I had already learned. I was really upset. (Don't tell, but I cried a little :(. )
Meanwhile, Mommy was having fun skiing on her own on the slopes. And Daddy was crashing left and right and getting kicked in the shin by a snowboarder who was also taking lesson.
Then, we all went for a lunch break. Lunch can make miracles :). When I got back, an instructor took me and 2 other people onto the big slope. Mommy saw us and asked the instructor if she could join. I crashed at the bottom of the slope, but it didn't hurt. Then, we got on the ski lift. It was really cool riding the lift! I know this sounds weird, but we could see this tree full of bras in them! I'm not kidding!
After that, Mommy, Daddy, and I went on a family run together. Daddy crashed and decided to retire for the evening. It was so fun! Mommy and I went on one final run and I did not crash at all. Soon after that, we headed home. I had an awesome time at Blue Mountain Ski Lodge!
Thanks for taking me Mommy and Daddy!

Congratulations on qualifying for districts! What an accomplishment! I know you deserve it every bit!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you have a great time at Blue Mountain and enjoyed skiing. Aidan loves to ski. Maybe next time we can all go together. Also, I would like to find this instructor who yelled at you and give the instructor a piece of my mind. It makes me absolutely very livid to know someone actually yelled at you. No instructor should ever yell at a kid. I hope you know when they yell it is not about you but about them. It's about how they need to learn not to take their frustration of the day out on someone else. I am SO PROUD of you that you did not let this horrible instructor ruin your day. I am glad you did not let their action stop you from continuing to want to learn to ski. I am SO PROUD of your positive attitude! CC, you truly are the BEST!!!
The guy was not an instructor, he was a staff. And i was being a bad mommy. I was having a good old time while my kid was being yelled at.
DeleteAlice, yes, we definitely meed to go skiing together next time!
