District Meet & Nifty Fifty

On Sunday, I competed in a district swim meet at LaSalle University. I think I mentioned before that Districts is a qualifying meet that is pretty hard to get in. I was really happy just to be able to make the team. I got 1st place in my heat and swam my personal best times in all 4 of my events (3 individuals: 50 back, 50 fly, 100 IM and 1 relay).
A special shout-out to my 200 Yd Medley Relay teammates, Kathryn Y (back), Patty C (breast), me (fly) and Grace P (free). You all did a great job! Together, we dropped over 11 seconds. We went from 16th place to 8th place, only 2 places from making states! Also, congrats to anyone who made states! That's amazing!
Mommy and Daddy were really proud! They took me to NiftyFifty afterwards to celebrate! I have never been to Nifty Fifty before but I heard they have really good milkshakes and was really excited. I was so excited that while getting out of the car, I kept my croc on my left foot and put my purple shoe on my right foot and hurried into the restaurant. I was walking funny and then I realized something was wrong with my feet, so I had to go back to the car and put on my other shoe. Nifty Fifty was delicious! They have the best milkshakes I've ever tasted! The food was also very good, especially the chicken nuggets and these gigantic onion rings.
Then, when we were leaving Nifty Fifty to go to Target, I put my shoes on wrong again!
It was such a wonderful weekend. Even though it would have been nice to make States, I am secretly happy to have 2 weeks off before spring training starts.

Many thanks to all the coaches for a wonderful season! Special thanks to Coach Tara, Coach Kim, and Coach Mike for giving up your Sunday for us!
