The food was absolutely splendiciously (splendidly+delicious) fantabulous (especially the Creme Brûlée), but the music was the highlight of the evening. Lynn Riley was an amazing musician and she even plays the alto sax just like me. In fact, she's the reason we went to PARIS in the first place. Ms. Riley also plays the flute and the soprano sax, so you can call her a triple threat! The entire jazz quartet played with passion and bobbed their heads and closed their eyes as they played. Two thirds of the way into the performance, vocalist, Denise King, came up to join the band. She was absolutely amazing! The first note she sang captivated the entire room and immediately got everyone's attention.

During the performance, Ms. King even got the audience involved. If we didn't participate, she threatened (jokingly, I think) to come straight to our table and make people sing. I sang along and even had Doggy clap along so we wouldn't get caught. Daddy can't sing. He just can't.

Overall, the whole experience was unforgettable! The food was exquisite (did I mention that I really like the Creme Brûlée?
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Peters for telling me about Lynn Riley. Thank you Mommy and Daddy for taking me and special thanks to Ms. Riley and Ms. King and the entire band for making my first up-close and personal jazz experience so memorable!
If anyone is interested, Ms. Lynn Riley w/ Ms. Denise King are scheduled to perform again at Paris on February 27 & 28. You can also check out their website/Facebook page below:
