New Page: The Family that Geocaches Together Stays Together - Updated 3/22/15

Update: To see a log of all the caches we've found so far, check out the link below.

Guess what, everybody? My mom, dad, and I have recently rediscovered an old hobby: geocaching. In case you're wondering, geocaching is an outdoor treasure hunt. People hide "caches" all over the world (there are 2 million caches worldwide) for other people to find. You use GPS coordinates to track down the cache, then sign the logbook to show you were there. If you want to, you can take a trinket from the cache and leave something in return.

This morning, we decided to hunt for a cache that is walking distance from our house and ended up finding a teensy, tiny, tube hidden in a tree stump. It was a lot of fun, and we plan to go geocaching more and more often, so I am going to start a new page and logging in every cache we visit. Stay tuned!

As you can see, geocaches come in many shapes and sizes from micro to large.
