WEIRD!!!

It was a very weird week. On Tuesday, I was cleaning my toys in the living room when I felt the ground shake! The glass door on the stereo cabinet came ajar! Mommy came up a few minutes later, so I asked her why she was hammering on the wall!?  Then later we found out on the news that it was an earthquake. That was first time I experienced an earthquake and it sure felt weird.

Then On Saturday as you all know was hurricane Irene. Some of you might have had some power outages and flooding. Thank goodness we didn’t have any major problems where we live. Around ten o’clock PM, my mom called me out of the shower due to a tornado warning! The first thing I grabbed was Doggy. 

We hung out in the basement until it was safe. I was really scared. The rain stopped by Sunday morning. We watched the news after brunch and saw a lot damages and flooding caused by hurricane Irene. I feel bad for the people who lost their homes.  Even our favorite bike trail was under water.  I am so grateful that everyone we know is fine.  By afternoon, we were feeling “cabin fever” even though it was only for 1 1/2 days, so we went out for a short walk.  A lot of trees were knocked over and it was still super windy out! We even saw a bunny at the park and a bird nest on the ground by the creek, poor birdie.  Here are some pictures I took during the walk:
