Today, I came home from school and found a gift bag from Auntie Janneth and Uncle Yong. There were a bunch of really cool gifts, and among them was this book of poems Falling Up. Thank you Auntie Janneth and Uncle Young! I love this book and I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes silly poems and a good laugh. Here is a sample of one the many wonderful poems in Falling Up:
One Out Of Sixteen
By Shel Silverstein Pg. 120
I’m no good at History,
Science makes no sense to me,
Music is a mystery,
English is no friend to me,
Math is my worst enemy,
Economics tortures me,
Gym takes too much energy,
Reading is a chore to me,
Geography just loses me,
I hate Sociology,
Chemistry confuses me,
I barf in Biology,
Astronomy’s just stars to me,
Botany’s just flowers smelling,
Even Art’s too hard for me.
Well, at least I’m good at Speling!

Math is my worst enemy,

It is one of Aidan's favorite too. He loves Shel Silverstein!
