The Origin of CC (詩 詩)

     My friends, Tia and Keira just asked me where I got the nickname CC, and since other people have asked me too, I thought I would write a post about it. 

     CC (see-see) comes from my full chinese name 易 詠 詩 (yick-wing-see).

Chinese is kind of backwards, so 易 (yick) is actually my last name and 詩 (see) is my first name. 

     易 (yick) doesn't really have a meaning, because it is a last name. My middle name, 詠 (wing) means song, or to sing. Last but not least, 詩(c)means poetic, poem, or poetry. 

      My mommy told me that when I was little, my parents always called me by my Chinese name 詩 詩 (cc). On the first day of preschool, when I was only 2 and 1/2, I cried through the whole day and my preschool teacher tried to calm me down, but when she called Karen, I didn't respond. Then she asked me what I wanted to be called, and I said CC. After that, everyone at the preschool started calling me CC and that is how I got my nickname.

This has nothing to do with my post, but I thought it was cute and it reminded me of when I was little.
