Yesterday, I did the Karakung Mini
Triathlon, and I actually got third place! I am surprised about this, because
at this triathlon there is an age up rule. The age up rule is a bad thing for
kids like me who have a late birthday, because if you don't make the December 31st cutoff,
you are considered one year older than you really are. For example, I was
competing against 11 & 12 yr. olds. Even though I am only 10, I am
considered 11 at the time of the triathlon. So I didn't think I had a chance against those 12 year olds who are like at least 6" taller than me. But I was super happy when they announced my name as the 3rd place winner in the 12 & Under category. My prize was a $5 gift card to Wawa. I also got a medal.
After the triathlon, my
dad and I went out to celebrate. We went to see Despicable Me2. It was
TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! I think the second one is even better than the first
one. After the movies, we went to Chickies and Petes for Linner. I tried their crab fries
for the first time ever, and they were delicious! Thank you Daddy for the best
father/daughter day ever!
