"Keep Calm and Climb On"
For the 2nd year in a row, LSC (my summer swim team) is the B Division Champs! We were undefeated (5-0) during the regular season. This past Saturday was the Championship meet. This meet did not count towards our trophy, but is more of a meet to try to get into even harder, more elite meets. I only swam the breaststroke in this meet, but I got second in my heat and improved my time!
I want to thank Coach Tara, Coach Alex, Coach Joe, and Coach Mike for another awesome season. You ROCK! Special thanks to Coach Mike for letting me use his video. Check it out.....
After the meet, my mom and dad took my swim buddy, Lisha, and I rock climbing! Finally!!!!! I've been asking to go rock climbing since my last birthday, so I was really excited. Both Lisha and I climbed all the way to the top of two walls! Mommy climbed too and she's pretty good for a mom :). Daddy did not climb, he's afraid of heights and his thumb still hurt from a bike accident at the French Creek Iron Tour in June. So, he was on belay for Lisha.

After our hands were hurting, and our harnesses were starting to give us wedgies, we left the rock gym, and had dinner at Bertuccis. BEST SAUSAGE PIZZA EVER! Then, Mommy and Daddy dropped us off at Lisha's house for a sleepover. We didn't actually sleep until midnight!
Thank you Mommy and Daddy for an awesome afternoon, and thank you Yan Yi Yi (Lisha's mom) for letting me sleep over! What a wonderful end to a wonderful swim season!
Congratulations! I am so proud of you. I am glad you enjoyed rock climbing. I tried it a few months ago and love it! I loved the feeling of getting to the top and then zipping down :) Although, I have to say the walls you climbed seem much higher than the ones I did :) Maybe next time we can all go together. I am trying to get Uncle Ming and Aidan to tried it too :)
ReplyDeleteYou're so brave! I've always been afraid of heights but you make rock climbing sound like a lot of fun :D
